For those who have been asking me for volunteer opportunity recommendations, below are some volunteer opportunities I find interesting. You just need to spend a few hours, and what you get is what money can’t buy I assure 🙂
1. Event Volunteer, 2013 Annual Lowitja O’Donoghue Oration

Several volunteer opportunities have become available for the 2013 Annual Lowitja O’Donoghue Oration, being held 6:00pm, Tuesday 28th May 2013.
The duties include assisting with ushering of VIP’s and attendees, taking money for tickets and checking names off ticket lists.

2. Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea Volunteers

Cancer Council SA
Unlimited positions available.

Join the fight to beat cancer in SA and volunteer to support our upcoming Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event.

Volunteers are needed to participate in a number of activities during late March through to mid May 2013.

You will be involved in:

o Welcome calls to registered hosts
o Sending email reminders to direct mail non-respondents
o Contacting schools to follow up their invitation to be registered as hosts
o Assisting with host kit arrival
o Banking reminders
o Data entry
o Processing host kit orders
o Gaining feedback from hosts after the event

Volunteers will be provided with:

o Scripted calls
o Information on the type of caller they will be calling
o if they will speaking with are a hot, warm or cold supporter, to ensure the appropriate conversation takes place

It’s our 20th birthday, so join in the celebration and be a part of the Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea community and help change lives.
